Mysuru, May 16:- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president T S Srivatsa appreciated the District in-charge Minister S T Somashekar for helping people and BJP party workers during the lockdown period.

“The minister had told that he would meet the party workers as soon as he became the district in-charge minister. But he couldn’t meet party workers due to lockdown. Now the time has come for the meeting,” he said.
“Party workers don’t expect anything much from the minister. They feel happy if the minister speaks to them with affection. This meeting has strengthened the party workers,” he said.
“BJP has a strong base in Yeshwanthpur Constituency. But Somashekar won twice from Congress in that constituency. It shows his individual reputation in the constituency. His joining BJP has strengthened the party further,” said Mysuru-Kodagu Member of Parliament Pratap Simha.
“The minister provided Rs 2.51 crore to Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens in Mysuru. He has contacted NRI associations for funding. This is a model work. He has provided Rs 51.84 crore to Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund from a cooperative organisation and helped the government. I appreciate providing Rs 3,000 each to ASHA workers,” he said.
